I didn't have time to upload monthly in 2018 so, at the end of the year, I uploaded my 50 favourite photos from that time. We start with Christmas 2017. First my own decorations,
then four pictures from my daughter's brilliantly festive Christmas Day lunch and then two from my own little attempt, experienced only by me and an owl and a flaming Christmas pudding.
In late February I was able to take a photograph I had never taken before; snow on a beach.
In April the Tendring area where I live held the first stage rally on closed road since the law was changed to allow this. Memories
For my birthday in July my sister and her husband took me to Silverstone for a day of historic races. Memories
In early August my third oldest granddaughter had her eighth birthday while my two older ones posed among the foliage.
At the end of that month, Clacton held its annual airshow. Some watched from beach, while others had a less crowded view.
The Red Arrows were there.
Other planes too.
Some people parachuted on to the beach, one of them appearing to be on fire.
A young child in front of me had a bubble blowing device.
More planes, one of which became a moving firework display, on purpose.
The birds got frightened and left in a hurry.
In the evening the pier gave us all a really good firework display, also on purpose.
In October the family went for a woods walk at Highwoods in Colchester and I had a reflective moment.
In the same month I popped over the see the swans and their friends at Mistley.
And finally this is what my family and an extra looked like in the summer of 2018.
