January 2017
Week-ending Jan 10
New Year's Day. The walk started in the rain, continued in the rain and ended in the rain.
The next day a walk along the beach although, to be honest, for the youngest, a cycle and for my daughter's dog, a chance to jump off walls.
January 4 and a solo walk. A view from the pier, of the pier and on the pier.
Children, totally unrelated to me, are still fascinated by the waves as are older ones.
At least one seascape has to have a bird in it. A nice reflection but not good enough for my photography site and I just liked the composition.
Week ending Jan 17
What do you know? We had snow on the beach, snow in the gardens and snow on the great hills of Clacton.
We also had a major storm warning for which the fire brigade and police were well prepared but all I had was sunset on the beach and sunspots on my photo.
Week ending Jan 24
Went for a 4 mile walk along the beach on Sunday. Nice to see a few others braving the cold. There was even a family having fun on the beach with buckets
and spades.
each huts were colourful, Walton Pier nearly lost in the mist and, yes, there is a bird in the sunset picture. Sadly forgot my gloves so by the time I got home
my arthritic fingers were locked rigid. Luckily a friend had warned me earlier in the day, after an unsuccessful experiment on herself, that spraying Deep Heat onto
cold parts wasn't advisable.
Week ending Jan 31
Yet another walk and I met some interesting characters. Bit wooden though but the owl seemed nice.
and spades.
A few views and a rather faint rainbow. Clacton is a holiday town and campsites are many.
Reflections and bullrushes, I think. I'm not good with plants.
I'm not good with our feathered friends either but the first one is a magpie, I know that, and the second one is ............. a bird.
