I told you to watch this space last month. I hope you didn't. All I meant was to watch this space in a month's time when I would post the next upload. For those of you who have literally obeyed my instructions, I apologise. But at least you don't know why John Lewis' wallpaper department is so busy recently.

On May 12 2021 I will have been residing in my little flat for 11½ years, all the time in fact since I came back from my travels and time in New Zealand. This is the second longest I have ever lived anywhere, just behind the 12¾ years I lived in North Harrow. That was from age 10 to nearly age 23.

This is the house in North Harrow as google says it looks now. I had the smallest bedroom probably because I was the oldest and favourite. Or not. I was the oldest but likely to cause less moans. Anyhow I later converted my small bedroom into a two‐storey room. I may tell you how someday.

The reason for this apparent ramble is that on 1 June 2021 I will be moving. I have to admit that as someone who has not physically had to move their complete set of belongings from one abode to another for over 23 years I find this a little daunting, especially as 23 years ago I was 23 years yonger, give or take. I know I effectively lived out of a suitcase for nearly eight years but that's different. You take with you what you need and it is ready to move. My new possessions and old possessions too (what few the vindictive and vicious did not destroy) were not acquired with movement in mind. Still I'm looking forward to the move if for no other reason than I will have a garden again and the summer is near.

Work-wise it's also been a great month and I will tell you more of that and maybe take you on a tour of my new property next month. .
