There are some artists, over the last 60 or so years, who have sung, written or recorded a far greater percentage of songs which have become my favourites.

I decided to give them a special section where I would choose, my 5 absolute favourite of theirs.

This was a very stupid idea.

Had I chosen 10 or 15 or even more maybe it would have worked but I decided on 5 and so, with much difficulty, here we go.
