I feel this song rather appropriate. Over the last 23 years, (written in 2018), I have spent nine of those on the road, i.e. away from my home. Now, after 9 years virtually static, the time has come to get back “on the road again” as soon as possible.

The chance to be “going places that I’ve never been. seeing things that I may never see again”, yes I can't wait to get back on the road again. I have to admit that I won't be “making music with my friends” unless it is the music of learning, of finding out or of enjoyment.

Willie Nelson and I will never agree on one thing but on many other social and environmental issues, we are as one. This clip is taken from the annual farm aid concert held in the US since 1985. The first one was jointly organised by Willie Nelson and Neil Young and marks a fitting closure to this part of my site as Young sings the very first song I upload several years ago.

In this recording, Willie Nelson is aged 84. I have made a mental note to myself that in 2033, when I reach that age, hopefully, I will make one final trip around my country. Now, how to fill the intervening 15 years.
