I first heard this song in the very early seventies when I first came across John Denver, who wrote it. I could have put a version by him up here but I recently found this one and it is certainly worth a listen. Peter, Paul and Mary already feature on my list but, weirdly, mainly Peter and Paul. Mary Travers does this song justice and I love the enthusiasm that she shows for singing it.

Word-wise I like the idea of sharing a life with someone, showing them things I've seen, places I'm going to and places that I've been. The idea that when you are with them, that is home is special too. Home doesn't have to be bricks and mortar.

The other thing I really like is the juxtaposition of the title words. It starts with follow me and ends with I will follow you. A real partnership. Following and being followed.
