This song I heard in either the late sixties or early seventies and I know it was instrumental in my desire to travel, especially in my own country. From hearing the song to my first such journey around the coastline of Great Britain took some fifteen years and now, 35 years after that, I have this incredible desire to take another similar though different journey.

This, I'm fairly certain, will be the last one I will make in England and I want it to be as a perfect as possible. Each of the other three had some downside which took the gloss of the beauty of the adventure, the landscapes, the discoveries. I saw another quote from Henry David Thoreau that said "The man who goes alone can start today but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready". Somewhere he missed out that you need to find the correct "other" else there is no point in waiting for someone who will not enhance, enjoy and stimulate your journey.
